I've been obeying the doctor's orders and not running for the last week. I went out for an easy run this morning as the doctor recommended, but the pain in the knee is still there. I'm kind of frustrated, because I enjoy running and it's a great way for me to stay in shape. It doesn't hurt when I walk, just when I run.
So, I'm going to spend more time on my daily devotions and I'll start going to the gym in the mornings with Sharon about 3 times a week. We went on a walk after dinner last night which we always enjoy, but don't do enough of. There was life before running and there will be life after running. I just never figured my running "career" would be so short lived. At least I can say, "I ran a marathon once".

Your running career isn't over, it's just on hiatus.
You are a marathoner! and always will be.
Melissa is having Meniscus surgery next week. She want to keep running.
MRI? just a thought?
